Anthropic says three Chinese AI labs used fake accounts to copy Claude through millions of chats.
Anthropic says DeepSeek, Moonshot, and MiniMax ran a large and organized effort to pull knowledge from its Claude model. The company claims they used over 16 million fake conversations across 24,000 accounts to copy Claude’s abilities. It is now calling for fast action from the AI industry and government.
MiniMax ran the biggest campaign with more than 13 million exchanges. Anthropic says it caught the activity while it was still happening and saw the lab switch targets to a new model in less than 24 hours.
DeepSeek reportedly asked Claude to explain answers step by step and to rewrite politically sensitive questions.
Anthropic says this is a form of distillation, where a smaller model is trained on the outputs of a stronger one.
This case shows how fast Chinese AI labs are moving toward the top level of the industry. If they used rival models to speed up progress, it raises serious questions about fairness and rules in AI development.

OpenAI Teams Up With McKinsey
OpenAI signs major consulting firms to help companies use AI in real business work.
OpenAI has announced new multi year deals with McKinsey, BCG, Accenture, and Capgemini to grow its enterprise AI platform called Frontier Alliance.
Frontier launched in early February. It helps companies manage AI agents like new employees inside their existing systems.
The Frontier Alliance partners will work closely with OpenAI to help businesses plug AI into their daily workflows and tools.
These consulting firms are building certified AI teams to support clients. Accenture has already started training staff in enterprise AI.
This move matters because even the best AI is useless if companies do not know how to use it properly. Many businesses struggle to connect AI tools to their real operations.
