Mythos AI installs radar-first navigation system on CB Pacific to support safe sea travel.
American company Mythos AI has launched its Advanced Pilot Assistance System (APAS) on the chemical tanker CB Pacific. The system, built to aid crews with radar-powered navigation, will be tested for a year in real-world sea operations.
APAS uses radar first, combined with machine vision and sensors, to support crew awareness.
The year-long trial will test safety, compliance with COLREG, and operational reliability.
Partners include lomarlabs and CB Tankers, aiming for broader adoption in shipping fleets.
This marks a move toward AI-driven maritime navigation, blending human expertise with smart technology. It shows how shipping can improve safety, efficiency, and resilience while keeping crews in control.
