Anthropic has opened Claude for Excel to more users, making AI help in spreadsheets easier to access.

Anthropic has expanded access to Claude for Excel, allowing Pro-tier customers to use the AI tool after a limited beta period that was only open to larger plans.

  • Claude now works inside Microsoft Excel through a sidebar, helping users directly in their spreadsheets.

  • Users can upload multiple spreadsheets at once and work longer without session limits.

  • New safety features help protect existing data, so cells are not overwritten by mistake.

This shows how AI is quickly taking over everyday work tasks. Just like coding is becoming easier with AI, working in Excel no longer needs deep formula skills. This shift saves time and opens powerful tools to more people.

An at Work is Slowing Down

AI use at work is slowing down, even as power users rely on it more.

A new Gallup report for Q4 2025 shows that AI adoption at work is reaching a pause. Many workers still do not use AI at all, while those who do are using it more deeply.

  • Tech workers lead AI use, with 60% using it often, but growth has started to slow

  • Remote-friendly jobs are far ahead, with 66% using AI, compared to 32% in in-person roles

  • Leaders use AI much more than employees, mostly because many workers do not see a clear use for it

This shows a growing gap in the workforce. AI is changing some jobs fast, but others are falling behind. Workers and teams that start using AI early, especially in slower sectors, can move faster, stand out more, and face much stronger competition ahead.
