Find out why 100K+ engineers read The Code twice a week
Staying behind on tech trends can be a career killer.
But let’s face it, no one has hours to spare every week trying to stay updated.
That’s why over 100,000 engineers at companies like Google, Meta, and Apple read The Code twice a week.
Here’s why it works:
No fluff, just signal – Learn the most important tech news delivered in just two short emails.
Supercharge your skills – Get access to top research papers and resources that give you an edge in the industry.
See the future first – Discover what’s next before it hits the mainstream, so you can lead, not follow.

Ex-Apple CEO: OpenAI Is Apple’s Rival

Former Apple CEO says OpenAI is Apple’s first real rival in decades.
John Sculley, former CEO of Apple, said OpenAI is the first true competitor Apple has faced in many years, highlighting the company’s rapid progress in artificial intelligence.
Sculley believes Apple has fallen behind in AI innovation and needs to shift from apps to agent-based AI.
He pointed out that delays like the slow update of Siri show Apple’s lag compared to OpenAI, Google, Amazon, and Meta.
He also mentioned Jony Ive’s partnership with OpenAI and said Ive could play a key role in shaping the future of AI-powered devices.
Sculley’s view matters because it shows how even former Apple leaders see AI-driven companies like OpenAI changing the tech landscape. It highlights a turning point where AI agents, not apps, could define the next big wave in technology.
