LATEST NEWS

Google launches Gemini 3.1 Pro with major reasoning boost and top benchmark scores at the same price.

Google has released Gemini 3.1 Pro, a big upgrade that improves reasoning, beats top benchmarks, and keeps the same API price as the previous version.

  • Gemini 3.1 Pro scored 77.1% on the ARC AGI 2 reasoning test, up from 31.1% on Gemini 3 Pro. It also outperformed Opus 4.6 at 68.8% and GPT 5.2 at 52.9%.

  • The model ranks first in benchmarks for science tasks, competitive coding, MCP use, and agent style search, showing strong overall performance.

  • Pricing stays the same as 3 Pro, with a 1 million token context window, and remains cheaper than similar top models from Anthropic and OpenAI.

This launch puts Google back in the race for the world’s leading AI model after months of attention on Anthropic and OpenAI. With Deep Think and now 3.1 Pro, Google is pushing hard to lead again, and a response from OpenAI is likely coming soon.

No AI, No Promotion?

Accenture is tracking weekly AI use by senior staff and linking it to promotions to push wider adoption.

Accenture is now watching how often senior employees use AI tools each week. The company is also tying AI usage to leadership promotions, hoping to get more experienced staff to fully adopt the technology.

  • Senior partners are slower to adopt AI compared to junior staff, according to three consulting executives who spoke to the Financial Times.

  • Associate directors who want promotions will have their AI logins tracked weekly, and usage will count as a clear factor in leadership reviews.

  • Accenture says over 550,000 employees out of its 780,000 staff have completed AI training. Still, some workers called the internal AI tools “broken slop generators.”

This move shows how serious companies are about AI adoption. While AI is already changing entry level jobs, even senior leaders are now under pressure to adapt.
