xAI launches Grok Imagine, a low cost AI video tool that now ranks at the top for video quality.
xAI has released the Grok Imagine API, a new tool for making and editing AI videos. It already ranks at the top for text to video and image to video, while being much cheaper than top rivals.
The API supports text to video, image to video, and video editing, with clips up to 15 seconds and audio included.
Pricing is $4.20 per minute, far lower than Veo 3.1 at $12 and Sora 2 Pro at $30 per minute.
Editing tools allow users to swap objects, change styles, animate characters, and shift scenes with simple commands.
This gives creators and developers a powerful and affordable way to make videos fast. If the quality stays strong, Grok Imagine could become a go to choice for teams that want to test ideas quickly without high costs.

Project Genie lets users create a world by typing a simple prompt. They can add a character and move through the world in first or third person. The system remembers what it builds, so places stay the same when you return.
Users can walk, fly, or drive through AI made worlds that update live
Each session lasts 60 seconds and runs on a dedicated chip
Access is limited to Google AI Ultra users for now, with more access coming later
