Sam Altman spoke with Forbes about OpenAI’s future, his belief that AGI is already here, and rising tension with partners and rivals.
Altman said OpenAI may one day hand control of the company to an AI, saying that if AI can run companies, his should go first.
He claimed OpenAI has basically built AGI, a statement that Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella pushed back on, calling their relationship frenemies.
Forbes reported Altman has stakes in over 500 companies, while some employees worry OpenAI is doing too much too fast.
