Edge Copilot Changes Browsing

Microsoft introduces “Copilot Mode” in Edge for smarter browsing
Microsoft has launched a new experimental feature called Copilot Mode for the Edge browser. This optional mode turns Copilot from a side assistant into an active browsing partner, able to “see” open tabs and help with complex tasks like comparing products, summarizing research, and organizing web sessions.
Copilot Mode works like screen sharing, where users choose which tabs or windows the AI can see.
It can compare multiple pages (like hotels or products) without switching tabs.
Voice navigation lets users talk to Copilot for quick searches, comparisons, and actions.
This feature could change the way we browse the web, moving away from the traditional tab-jumping method. It shows Microsoft’s push to make AI an active productivity tool in everyday browsing. While free for now, its planned shift to a paid feature hints at a bigger AI subscription model ahead.

China $0.20 AI Model

Chinese startup Z.ai (Zhipu) has launched two new open-source AI models, GLM-4.5 and GLM-4.5-Air.
They are much cheaper than competitors like DeepSeek. These models can create PowerPoint presentations automatically and compete with top AI models in performance.
GLM-4.5 and GLM-4.5-Air perform close to leading U.S. large language models, even ranking 3rd in global AI tests.
The models offer two modes: “Thinking” for complex reasoning and “Non-Thinking” for fast answers.
Pricing is extremely low: GLM-4.5 costs $0.60 per million input tokens, GLM-4.5-Air costs $0.20.
This launch shows how Chinese AI startups are quickly catching up to global leaders, offering high-quality AI at very low cost. It could make advanced AI tools more affordable for businesses, education, and creative industries worldwide.
