OpenAI says some customer data may have leaked after a problem with a data partner.
OpenAI shared that a breach at Mixpanel might have exposed some info from users who have API accounts, though people who use ChatGPT for personal use are safe.
• A breach at Mixpanel may have let an attacker see some API customer data.
• Stolen data may include names, emails, rough location, operating system, browser, and referral sites.
• Mixpanel found the attack on 9 November 2025 and shared details with OpenAI on 25 November.
This matters because people with API accounts may face phishing risks, so they should watch for strange emails. OpenAI says it will stay open about the issue and reminds users it will never ask for passwords, API keys, or any codes.

Replacing Humans with AI is Going Horribly Wrong
Meta Blocks ChatGPT on WhatsApp
Meta will block Copilot and ChatGPT from WhatsApp in early 2026.
Meta says Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT will stop working on WhatsApp on 15 January 2026. Both tools say they must leave because of new WhatsApp rules.
Meta will not let AI rivals use the WhatsApp Business API to run their chatbots.
Copilot users cannot keep their WhatsApp chats, while ChatGPT users can link their account and move their chats.
Other AI firms like Perplexity will also need to leave WhatsApp soon.
This move shows Meta wants to protect Meta AI inside a platform with over 3 billion users. But Meta’s own chatbot is still weaker than its main rivals, so major AI companies do not seem worried about leaving WhatsApp.
