Sometimes later becomes never.
Do it now.

Clear communicators aren't lucky. They have a system.

Here's an uncomfortable truth: your readers give you about 26 seconds.

Smart Brevity is the methodology born in the Axios newsroom — rooted in deep respect for people's time and attention. It works just as well for internal comms, executive updates, and change management as it does for news.

We've bundled six free resources — checklists, workbooks, and more — so you can start applying it immediately.

The goal isn't shorter. It's clearer. And clearer gets results.

ChatGPT Health Promises Privacy

OpenAI launches ChatGPT Health to power more personal health talks.

OpenAI has launched ChatGPT Health, a private space inside ChatGPT that lets users connect medical records and fitness data to get more personal health help instead of general answers.

  • Users can link apps like Apple Health, MyFitnessPal, and Peloton, plus import records from doctors through b.well

  • Health chats are kept separate, use strong encryption, and are not used to train AI models

  • A waitlist starts now, with wider web and iOS access coming soon. Medical records work only in the U.S. for now

This shows OpenAI pushing deeper into healthcare, where trust and safety matter more than ever. With millions already using ChatGPT for health questions, this move could change how people manage care, ask questions, and use AI in daily health decisions.

AI Now Approves Some Med Refills

Utah lets AI approve some prescription refills on its own for the first time.

Utah is now the first US state to allow an AI system to legally approve certain prescription refills without a doctor, helping patients with long term conditions get meds faster.

  • The AI can refill 191 common drugs, like blood pressure meds, birth control, and SSRIs, but not pain, ADHD, or injectable drugs.

  • In tests with 500 cases, the AI matched doctor decisions 99% of the time, and sent unclear cases to real doctors.

  • The service costs $4 per refill, and other states like Texas, Arizona, and Missouri are showing interest.

This shows how AI is moving from advice to action in healthcare, making care faster, cheaper, and more direct for many patients while setting a new path for how medicine may work in the near future.
