Google removes AI videos using Disney characters after a copyright dispute

YouTube has taken down many AI made videos that use Disney characters after a disagreement between Google and Disney over copyright rights.

• YouTube removed dozens of AI videos showing characters like Mickey Mouse, Deadpool, Moana, and Star Wars figures

• Disney sent a letter accusing Google of copyright violations, including using Disney content to train AI tools like Veo

• Disney has also filed similar complaints against other AI companies such as Midjourney and Character.AI

This shows that big media companies are taking a strong stand on how their content is used in AI tools, and future AI videos may need clear deals before using famous characters.
